I think the handbrake was a fairly standard Austin/Rover part in the late 70’s and early 80’s So it was in a few different cars.

So, what does "based on a 1965 Mustang" mean? Is this a kit that just used the Mustang frame dimensions and wheelbase, or did they an actual Mustang for it? If the latter, I don't think even turning it into a Batmobile will save the owner from the Petrol Gods' karmic wrath of dropping a *Chevy* engine into *1965 Mustang.*

The 1989 Batmobile was always the best looking IMO, it has an old timey Trans-Atlantic feel which makes it perfect. Again it needs an engine from an RX-7

Why do you need brakes? Surely you just use the grappling hooks to drag it round the corner.

I love the irony of the fact that he says, "I suppose there's no such thing as a 5'10 batman." when Michael Keaton, who played batman in the movies this car came from was only 5'9.

I was 12 when this movie came out, so this is _the_ Batmobile for me. Those Keaton movies are also the true modern Batman movies for me.

Same one we have here in melbourne Australia, dude built it 15 years ago. :) drives on our roads too.

I remember seeing the real one in the Stars of the Cars Museum when I was a kid, I'm pretty sure it was this incarnation - such an amazing museum with such memorable cars.

This was a weird video. It started off all exciting. Then it is about a car that was not in the movie, then it became clear that there is a turbine engine one but not this one. And then when it could not be more sadning a add starts about manscaping...... But that was not enough it had to be about testicular cancer. Highligting some of us will suffer it. I mean from the hope of escapism, fantasy and pure joy it went from realism to depression really quick. Maybe not do this add after making everyone excited over a bat mobile and lowering the excitement. Those things add up. Keep up the excitement though the energy made me at least watch 5 minutes. Else I would have clicked away after saying there are ones with a turbine engine. Watching those.

I've got a picture of me sitting in that car. It was taken at a car show back in 2001 or 2002, I can't remember. It's an incredibly tight fit to get into.

@Bugatti Chiron Supersport Probably but just barely. I was 6 foot 2 inches tall and 220lbs back then and now I'm 6 foot 3 inches tall and 236lbs so I could probably cram myself in there. In all honesty I have trouble getting in most small cars, lol.
